It was a long and rough week last week... I did go to the scrapbook expo on friday. I got a nice haul... but i will not load my pics on here.... yet.... that's because they will be prizes to 2 or 3 or 4 of my card making ladies... they will be drawn at random and hopefully sent out on the next paycheck....

But here is my creation for you! I used Angela the Angel for my card. Although you cant see that i used pop dots for the wings and the sentiment. And i embossed the sentiment.

hey everyone one of my favorite digi image designers needs our help. He knows this sick little 9yr old boy named Dylan who has an inopperable brain tumor. Dustin pike called for help. here is what he posted:
Freebie and a Call for Cards...

Every once in a while I ask for something in return for all of the freebies I give away. That time has come again...This past Monday night at a local school they held an event called "Dancing for Dylan" The turnout was tremendous...He is a 9 yr old boy recently diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor (Diffused Pontine Glioma) His blog is here http://dylandshaw.blogspot.com/ and you can read all about the things that this little boy and his family are going thru. In return for you taking an hour out of your day and a buck to mail the card I have 6 images to give away to each person that sends a card to me that I can collect and take to his family. I would like to do this in about 2 weeks to give those overseas the time to get the cards here. PLEASE feel free to make the card for Dylan, his family or both. If you have wonderful words of encouragement you can add that to the card...or just a simple hello will work.

This as well as the 5 others will not be for sale on my site (consider them Limited Editions). Only by making a card can you get this small set...I am not telling you that one of my images has to be used (though it would be nice) and seeings it's a boy this time around, I for some reason tend to have a lot of images geared towards boys...

I know this has nothing to do with crafts but How could I not post something about this.
This horrible person is Finally dead. I never been elated. I was fresh out of high school when 9/11 happened. Many of my friends enlisted in the military fresh out of high school too. ( i decided not to join because my High School anatomy teacher Dr. Lew Davis said that he had a bad feeling about the current Bush administration) I was worried about my friends and family and the other troops i did not know personally. and finally justice (if you can call it that) has been served. although it wont bring back our lost loved ones they should know that it wasnt in vain.
I am PROUD to be an American! as the President said," We are ONE NATION, UNDER GOD, INDIVISABLE FOR LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL".

Japan's disasters

My heart is out to my Japanese brothers and sisters who are effected by the Large earth quake, tsunami, and meltdown.
i was kinda effected by this as my area was on tsunami warning. My hometown of San Francisco luckily only had 6in waves come in. I didnt sleep while on warning... pretty scary. Now I have herd that possible nuclear fall out might hit the area where i live... I'm not sure what to do about that but i'm looking to possibly move east if that does occur.
anywho...
If anyone hears on what we as a group can do to help our fellow man in Japan. please let me know thanks and God Bless Everyone!

Sports supplies for scrappers/and card makers

So my Husband and I are huge BAMA fans!!! And I have a scrapbook for our Crimson Tide football seasons. There is one huge problem we have being fans of the Tide... We live on the West coast. We live close to Bezerkly CAL, and Stanford. So The supplies are very hard, OK non existent on the side of the country. Articles, Magazines, pictures, paper you name it it doesn't exist here.
But Eureka!! I for a site that does carry it http://www.sportssolution.net/. They have a few items which is better than what i got now!!!
I just thought i would share this information so if others do have a scrapbook/ or a College fan(of any college team not just BAMA) they need to make something for this site has papers and stickers...
Just a thought!

Hey Ladies I just got a great question from a fellow swappie... I totally forgot to say... If you wanted to send a personal not to your swappie put that on a separate piece of paper so your swappie can use your card if they wanted too. Also just a suggestion I'm not sure if other people use these, but i have a stamp that says "Handmade by:" that i use on the back of my cards...
I do suggest that if you have this use it on the back of your creations... But you Don't HAVE to go out and buy one... OK i was just rambling talk to you soon.

Card Swap Guidlines (repost)

Hey Everyone here are a few guidelines for the cardswap...

No need to buy anything (unless you want to). Just use what you already have.

THEMES are suggestions and can be changed or altered by swappies. For example if a suggested theme would require you to buy something because you don't have it then please change it and discuss it with your swappie. I want everyone to have fun. Also if you're not inspired by the theme suggested please talk to your swappie and change it.

Once your swappie is announced please email them directly.

I would like every swappie to swap every month without fail (ideally). So if things come up PLEASE contact to your swappie and I so we can make changes or stop your swap or something.

Also If for any reason you want to stop swapping PLEASE let us (ME and your SWAPPIE) know.

PLEASE KEEP TRACK OF YOUR CARD SWAPS. ( i will try to put mamabears card swap in the subject with all emails)

If you are swaping overseas: In a note on a separte piece of paper (do not write on the card) please write your address. (sometimes the post stamps over it and the recipient can not read it.)
